Editing with AI

Juraj Ondruš

What does artificial intelligence bring or hinder in editing? How to work in an editing program with artificial intelligence? And can it happen that AI will one day replace film editors? These are the questions we will try to answer during the editing workshop at Young Film Fest. You can look forward to working in editing software to create a short audiovisual work.

Juraj Ondruš

Juraj has worked as a film editor and editing supervisor on many student, animation and documentary films. The animated film Mom is Always Right received a nomination for the Golden Slipper Award during the Zlín Film Festival in 2022. The short film Cherry was also awarded a special mention at the Zlín Film Festival (2020). The documentary Something Extra won the Audience Award during the Sun in the Net Awards (2019). For almost 7 years he has been working as a chief editor in the audiovisual production Bumerang Film. In addition to the creation of advertising formats (CZC.cz, Sportisimo, ...), he teaches Fundamentals of Editing at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín as an external teacher and has the ambition to move in a practical as well as academic direction. He is the co-author of the idea of the Filmana project, where he is in charge of communication with Slovakia and also processes video materials and is a script editor.
