Young Film Fest Award (15 to 19)

We are selecting film jurors aged 15 – 19

We are selecting the film judges between the ages of 15-19 who will choose the winner of the Young Film Fest Grand Prize!

The Young Film Fest is a festival that doesn't mince one´s words. It talks openly about appropriate and inappropriate topics, blurs the boundaries between the viewer and the lecturer, and without excessive formalities, it approaches film programmes in a way that others dare not.

In the day-long programme of the Young Film Fest, we will offer young viewers six short films from around the world that address themes relevant to today's youth. After each film, we will engage in dialogue, formulate opinions and name the emotions that the film evoked in us. Then the young audience will become the judges and will be asked to do one thing: choose the most interesting film to be awarded the Young Film Fest 2024 Award.

But it won't be just about sitting on the couch, participants will also take part in film workshops led by experienced tutors (video making with AI, film editing with AI and a film writing workshop). Who is this day for? For all passionate viewers and filmmakers aged 15 - 19. You will receive a certificate of completion from us for attending the programme.

But above all, the whole day is filled with a relaxed atmosphere, fun and new friendships between peers with the same interests.

The event is co-organised by the Audiovisual HUB of Kino Kavalírka.
