How to teach with CINEMINI

Are you a principal or teacher in kindergarten or first grade? Do you want to teach your children to understand the audiovisual content that surrounds them at every corner? The Young Film Fest does not forget the little ones, nor those who educate them.

The How to Teach with Cinemini lesson will introduce kindergarten and first grade teachers to this unique film education project for preschoolers. Our experienced lecturer Anna Puklová will show how can be Cinemini used in your kindergarten or primary school, how to teach children to think about what they have seen and how to process the film experience. She will introduce activities especially developed for the films to help children process their movie experiences and share her experience of teaching Cinemini workshops.

Cinemini is a unique film education project for children from 3 to 6 years old. It combines short, unconventional films and specially developed activities that stimulate children's imagination and enhance their experience of film. In this way, we discover the world of film and audiovision with children in a fun way and develop their creativity, critical thinking and a positive relationship with film from an early age. When I'm not sitting in the office, I work with children almost every day in a variety of disciplines, from swimming lessons to organizing a summer camps to audiovisual education. Nowadays, when children are exposed to audio-visual content virtually around the clock, there is a need to cultivate their critical thinking from the earliest age. I'm glad I can help them with that.
